Place the candle on a heat-resistant flat surface, a candle dish can serve this purpose perfectly. When burning multiple candles, be sure to keep at least 10 cm between them. Make sure the wicks are not too long; they are cut to size when shipped. They should be a maximum of 1 cm. The wooden wicks are best placed as low as possible to the wax. Be sure to let the candles burn for a few hours before blowing them out; this will give the top layer of wax a chance to melt nicely. When blowing out the candles, the use of a candle cover is preferred; this is to avoid splashing candle wax and to help prevent a wick from falling diagonally. Should a wick fall at an angle while burning, it is best to straighten it with a toothpick when the candle is blown out and the wax is still liquid. The wick is the heart of the candle, so it plays a crucial role in the burning of the candle. All wicks are thoroughly tested beforehand, but sometimes flickering or 'smoking' can happen. Before you relight a candle, always check the wick for length, for any 'mushroom' formation (this is exactly a thickening at the wick end), and trim the wick to a maximum of 1 cm. It is also best to break off the wooden wicks, as far as possible up to the wax. Normally this should be enough.

Lont & Co is a big supporter of reuse. Lont & Co will always offer refill possibilities. You can perfectly buy a refill for the scented candles without the glass, the same for the tea lights, ... Aluminum cups of tea lights can perfectly be reused several times. You just have to remove the metal wick of the previous candle; this can be done very easily by using a toothpick or by pressing briefly on the bottom of the aluminum cup. The glasses can also be reused as storage jars because a lid is included. The glasses can also be cleaned easily. If there is any candle residue, you can remove it by putting the glass in the freezer for a while and then removing the residue with a toothpick if it is a lot. Or you can put the glass in hot water so that the remaining wax melts and you can pour it out on kitchen paper and throw it away. You can then wash the glass and reuse it for the chosen purpose. Work is in full swing on the special refills for the ceramic jars. These will arrive as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can just put tea lights in the refills, or use them for something else. These ceramic pots can also be washed in the dishwasher, put in the oven, ... they are multifunctional!

This is no problem at all. All shipments are beautifully packaged and if you wish, a card can be added with a message for this person. You can mention this in the comments when you place your order.

Aangezien de meeste kaarsen op vraag worden gemaakt, behalve de standaard pakketten; die zijn op voorraad, en Lont & Co momenteel een éénmanszaak is moet je toch rekenen op een week tot maximum 2 weken voor de bestelling verzonden wordt. Dit is natuurlijk afhankelijk van de hoeveelheid kaarsen die je wenst,… Lont & Co doet er alles aan om dit zo vlot mogelijk te laten gebeuren. Mocht je heel dringend kaarsen nodig hebben, aarzel dan zeker niet om dit bij de opmerkingen te schrijven als je jouw bestelling plaatst. De direct leverbare kaarsen worden binnen de 48u verzonden.
